I came across this awesome article while checking out The Huffington Post. It was originally posted here on the blog Wait But Why. I included a snippet above. If you enjoyed that, you should definitely read more. It’s a two-part post.

I emailed the article to this guy I’ve been corresponding with online. This evening he expressed his absolute frustration with attempting to meet a woman he could relate to.  He says he’s been meeting cornballs for the past decade. And apparently his brief encounter with some woman he referred to as a “flake” didn’t go well this evening. She ended their Starbucks meet up abruptly and then texted saying that she was not interested. He’s single, 43, professionally accomplished, child-free and handsome.  In my head something just quite isn’t adding up — right?  He at least looks good on paper. I’d imagine women would be all over him. But we have yet to meet in person nor talk on the phone.  So who knows?  His breath could very well smell like roasted garbage?  Or he could have the voice of Kermit the Frog or worst, Shaft? Furthermore, he hasn’t had a relationship last beyond 1.5 years. Suspect yet again — right? I tried to offer up some encouragement, not that I’m the poster child for blissful romantic unions. I shared that I never had an affinity for the dating process. I think it’s rather difficult to find someone who you actually vibe with i.e., losers abound — right? I suggested he take a break from it all. Give it another go in the summertime.

I don’t know about him, but I just want the simple things…
