If you haven’t heard already, Brownstone member Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell died last Friday in a freak accident. Apparently Maxwell took a tumble while holding a wine glass and the shards of glass punctured her neck after the fall. Maxwell was 46. She leaves behind her husband and 11-year-old son.

Brownstone was a black R&B female group that rocked the ’90s with their hits Grapevine and If You Love Me.

Thanks for the amazing, timeless music! May you rest in peace.

If You Love Me is still one of my favorites. Classic R&B.
